A PERTH teenager has chased an alleged intruder out of her home and pinned him to the ground until police arrived.
Teal Smith said she was sitting on the couch of her Spearwood home when she saw a masked man appear in the kitchen holding her wallet and phone.
The barefoot 18-year-old chased the man out and followed him over fences before she managed to get a hold of him.
“There was no being afraid or anything,” she said.
“I was just really angry and I wanted to get him.”
The teen chased the man along Hamilton Hill Road in the dark with her parents close behind on the phone to police.
Ms Smith cornered the man in the backyard of a nearby home and pinned him to the ground by digging her knees into his ribcage.
She suffered bruising in the scuffle but says she’s now considering a career with the WA Police.
“I could see myself (chasing offenders) again, I just need to learn how to do it properly,” she said.
A 42-year-old man faced court on Wednesday, charged with a string of burglary and robbery offences.
