A PERTH man has been arrested after he was allegedly caught driving with a blood alcohol reading almost seven times the legal limit
Kalgoorlie police say they stopped the 54-year-old after several concerned calls from members of the public after 7pm on Monday night.
When stopped, the man allegedly blew 0.337. When tested again more than 20 minutes later, that reading was allegedly 0.341.
The Westminster man had his licence disqualified and will now appear in court.The man wasn’t the only driver to end up with a court date over the WA Day long weekend.
A driver caught by Southern Cross police will appear in court after being clocked at 179km/h in a 110km/h zone.
A man also had his car impounded in Australind after he was caught at 132km/h in an 80km/h while on his way to the rubbish tip.
In a photo posted to Twitter, the man’s Holden Commodore utility can be seen filled with junk on the back.
