AN international student says he is too traumatised to remain in Australia after he was bashed at his Mandurah apartment.

Prabgheet Sandhu had asked a resident in his Erskine apartment complex to turn his music down when he was attacked last night.

“I’m still in shock … I can’t even live here anymore,” Mr Sandhu said.

“I can’t even see properly from my eye.”

The 28-year-old had been on his way to his apartment when he asked for the music to be turned down.

He was then followed to his home and bashed by an intruder.

“He started punching me so badly, I don’t know what he was wearing … he hit me with something in the head,” Mr Sandu said.

Mr Sandu then fled to his bedroom and barricaded himself inside.

“He started bashing on the door, then after a few minutes the other guy came in and just said ‘let’s go, let’s go’,” he recalled.

Mr Sandu currently works part-time for Uber as he studies project management.

Given he’s been left with a fractured eye socket, the 28-year-old is unable to drive and now without an income.

Mr Sandu said he’s now making plans to return home to India.

A man in his 20s is being questioned by police but no charges have been laid.
