Police drop probe into museum remains


POLICE have ended an investigation into the discovery of bones at the WA Museum site in Northbridge after tests confirmed they are ‘of a historical nature’.

Work at the site came to a standstill last Wednesday after the discovery of the skeletal remains.

WA Police confirmed the remains were human the following morning and the homicide squad began an investigation.

Forensic tests has confirmed the remains are old and the find was no longer being investigated by police.
