A semi-trailer driver who tried to stop his vehicle which was rolling in an Adelaide shopping centre car park has died after the accident.
Police said the 45-year-old man, from Victor Harbor south of Adelaide, was treated by ambulance officers in a supermarket car park at Kensington Gardens in the eastern suburbs, but died after he was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
The accident happened just after 5:30pm on Friday.
The semi-trailer started to roll in the supermarket’s rear car park and the driver, who was not in the truck, was struck as he tried frantically to stop it.
Major Crash and SafeWork SA investigators have been at the scene in Kensington Road examining the circumstances of the tragedy.
