Wrong house theory in shooting


POLICE believe a possible drive-by shooter may have targeted the wrong house.

Detectives are calling for information about the incident in Carlisle Sunday morning.

Two men woke about 6.50am to find a small round hole in a living room window of their Weston Street home.

Bullets were on the ground nearby.

One of the residents said he thought he heard thunder at the time of the incident.

His house was one of two on the same block.

A woman who arrived at the crime scene about 10am was later taken away in a police car to help with inquiries.

Forensics officers have examined the scene.
